An Estonian visual artist born in 1983, Kikkas creates timeless black-and-white photography inspired by music and nature. From Musician to Photographer

Kikkas studied photography at Finland’s Visual Arts Institute, but his creative roots lie in music. His background as a trained musician profoundly influences his work—particularly his nuanced portraits of classical performers.

He has collaborated closely with legendary Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, and often photographs music-related subjects, from album covers to quiet, emotional studies of artists in their element.
