Adam Strange Wins “Best in Show” — A Visionary Artist Recognized by the Ontario Society of Artists
Share
We are thrilled to announce that Adam Strange has been awarded “Best in Show” by the Ontario Society of Artists—a prestigious recognition that reflects the depth, originality, and urgency of his work. This accolade cements Strange’s place among today’s most compelling contemporary artists, and it couldn’t be more well-deserved.
A Canadian artist working at the intersection of digital photomontage, painting, collage, and film techniques, Adam Strange creates what he calls contemporary artefacts: haunting, complex visual compositions that expose our inner contradictions and societal dissonance. Using 21st-century digital tools, Strange reimagines photography with analogue grit and cinematic tension, stitching together fragments of reality to form something wholly new—and often unsettling.
Art as a Weapon for Change
Strange doesn’t make art for decoration; he makes it for disruption. His works reflect what he describes as “the deeply unsettling knot of humanity,” and serve as visual commentaries on the global condition—raw, layered, and fearless. Through juxtapositions of internal truth and accidental beauty, his pieces challenge viewers to reconsider what they know about the world, and about themselves.
In his own words:
“Art is the corporeal representation of the deeply unsettling knot of humanity, which the artist tries to untie.”
